What is Roughcasting?

Roughcasting is a mixture used to coat external walls. The most common mixture consists of cement, sand, and small pieces of gravel. Seashells or pebbles can also beused, which gives rise to the term "pebbledash."

Roughcasting is a popular choice for exterior wall finishes throughout Scotland, even for new builds, as it provides excellent protection against our ever-changing weather. It is known for its durability and can withstand the elements for several decades.
